Pastor John Hagee Denies Jesus as the Messiah

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who secretly shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them …” (2 Peter 2:1)

For years, it has been said that John Hagee is, at best, “overzealous” about Israel.  Acknowledging Israel’s importance in God’s plan is one thing.  Idolizing Israel to the point of denying sound doctrine and even the Gospel itself is something else entirely.  In the past, Hagee has been guilty of teaching that the Jews do not need to accept Jesus Christ as Savior, but that they will be saved under the Old Covenant.  In 1988, Hagee was quoted in the Houston Chronicle for having said:

“I’m not trying to convert the Jewish people to the Christian faith.  In fact, trying to convert Jews is a ‘waste of time,’ he said. ‘The Jewish person who has his roots in Judaism is not going to convert to Christianity. There is no form of Christian evangelism that has failed so miserably as evangelizing the Jewish people. They (already) have a faith structure.’ Everyone else, whether Buddhist or Baha’i, needs to believe in Jesus, he says. But not Jews. Jews already have a covenant with God that has never been replaced by Christianity ...”  (Source: The Other Gospel of John Hagee by G. Richard Fisher, citing  The Houston Chronicle, April 30, 1988, sec. 6, pg. 1).

While the apostle Paul wrote that we should do good unto all men, especially those who are of the household of faith (Galatians 6:10), Hagee has taught that special “blessings” are given to those who are nice to the Jewish people (because of their flesh rather than faith toward God and Christ).  Such teachings are nowhere found in the New Testament.  God’s promise to Abraham to “bless them that bless thee” (Genesis 12:3) is fulfilled through Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:16).

But now, at the climax of heresy, John Hagee has actually given himself over to denying that Jesus Christ presented Himself as the Messiah to Israel.  To hear Hagee in his own words, watch the following clip by clicking here.

But what does Hagee mean?  Is there a misunderstanding about what he’s saying?  In his book, “In Defense of Israel,” he writes:

“It has been my privilege to join Congregation Rodfei Sholom in San Antonio for the celebration of Passover with Rabbi Aryeh Scheinberg. Four cups of wine are served at the Passover with a meal that symbolized the tears and suffering of the Hebrew slaves in Egypt.

• The first cup is the cup of Remembrance.
• The second cup is the cup of Redemption.
• The third cup is the cup of Salvation.
• The fourth cup is the cup of Messiah.

When Jesus and his disciples came to the final cup during their last celebration of the Passover, Jesus refused to drink the Messiah’s cup. He told his disciples, “Take this [Messiah’s cup] and divide it among yourselves; for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes” (Luke 22:17-18).

In refusing to drink the cup, Jesus rejected to the last detail the role of Messiah in word or deed. The Jews did not reject Jesus as Messiah; it was Jesus who rejected the Jewish desire for him to be their Messiah.” (John Hagee, “In Defense of Israel,” pgs. 144, 145).

Notice what he says: that "Jesus rejected to the last detail the role of Messiah..." This is not an issue of doctrinal opinion; this is rank heresy. Unless Hagee repents, he can only be seen as a false teacher and a liar (1 John 2:22). His views are not in defense of Israel, as he suggests, but rather in open denial of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.  For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ but their own belly …” (Romans 16:17, 18)

The North American Union, the Next Step in Global Governance

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28)

By all means, click here to watch the following 9 minute video that shows what’s happening with the North American Union.

The progress of the NAU is a story that ought to be all over the mainstream media, rather than the endless hours of discussion about Paris Hilton & Britney Spears.  Incredibly, all the mass media outlets in our country (with the exception of Lou Dobbs) seem to have “blacked out” the story.

Nevertheless, the NAU represents the merger between the United States, Canada and Mexico.  Some say this merger is the real reason why President Bush has done little or nothing about the Mexican border – because ultimately, Mexico will become a part of the United States.

This video points out that the NAU is the next step in the march towards a world government.  It is the counter-part to the European Union, something else we hear little or nothing about in the mainstream media.  Also mentioned are the African Union and the Asian Union.  One step at a time, the world is being sewn together like so many pieces of a patchwork quilt, until the final objective of the secret societies is complete: a new world order.

Watching this video clip should compel us as Christians to be more diligent to preach the gospel, especially since others who see the global agenda advancing, are offering new age solutions to the problem.  Now, more than ever before, we must as Christians maintain the understanding of world events through the lens of Bible prophecy.  Prophecy assures us that the only solution to the coming world calamity is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

“We have also a more sure word of prophecy, unto which ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts …” (2 Peter 1:19)

Also remember that “America’s Pastor” Rick Warren has admitted to being a member of the CFR, which has been exposed for having an agenda to create a “social gospel” that will help to establish world government.  To learn more about this, and to read the account where Rick Warren boasted of his CFR membership, check out this article by Berit Kjos on the “Purpose-Driven Deception on a Global Scale

Lettersrs

Recently, an email was forwarded to us by Ed Decker about “Riddles in Stone.”  Ed asked me to respond to a woman who was concerned about the documentary.  Because “Riddles” is part of a series that has not yet been brought into the full focus of Bible prophecy, we thought this response might be useful for others.

Dear Mr. Decker,

I know you don't know me. But I have written you twice before. You always give the shortest and strangest reply.

I just spent two days viewing the documentary "Riddles in Stone" in it, you and another Christain evangelist was featured along with many promint Freemasons. I don't quite get the meaning or final point of the Documentary. What was the Documentary trying to say? At first it showed what Masons really believed in. That they worship all the Baalim. But than it began to pull back and go soft on President Bush and Alfred Pike. It did not quote the fact that Pike believed that Lucifer was God. But at the end it sort of left everything in the air. It spoke of a Hindu or Buddhist deity as coming messiah. It turned against Christianty as though it's suppose to end as a new age of Aquarius is supposed to usher in. This is blaspheme.

Please tell me what do you think of this documentary? Why did it end giving any validity to that false Anti Christian prophet of this false god from the east.  But, between you and me, it's still Islam. Another Mahdi.  Another Islamic destroyer.  At the end of documentary this false prophet promised a new age of enlightenment and all who do not succumb to it will be destroyed. Utter destruction. Sounds like Islam.

There is no God but Yahweh and his Son Yashua (Jesus). Why did it end that way? Why did they feature you and another Christian Evangelist, then speak of this other (false) messiah?  Did you see the flaw of the documentary.  It totally threw away the point. What were they trying to say? Now I'm very confused. Was the documentary "Riddles in Stone" made by Christians?  Or the Masons themselves?  Masons will do that. It almost showed the connection between masonry and Islam. But stop short. Then changed and gave glory to another coming (false messiah) doing away with Christianity. Is this not that the goal of Freemasonry any way?

Please when you find the time please tell me how you fell about all I have said.

Lynne

CHRIS PINTO’S RESPONSE:

Dear Lynne,

I received your email through Ed Decker, and would like to take the opportunity to reply to some of your concerns about “Riddles in Stone.”  Please know that we are certainly Christians who produced the film, and are fully convicted of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that the Bible is the true and unerring Word of God.

I am unsure if you saw Volume I of our series (“Secret Mysteries of America’s Beginnings”), or if you understand that Riddles in Stone is Volume II of the series; and still further that the series will have another Volume (as God leads us).  In other words, our complete opinion as Christians is not yet fully expressed.  With this work, we have specifically taken a “History-Channel” styled approach, to reach both a Christian and secular audience.  This has meant that we examine information as documentary journalists, and refrain from preaching – not because we are ashamed of the Gospel (God forbid) – but out of a desire to reach a greater audience for the Lord Jesus Christ.  As the apostle Paul wrote, “”And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, not being myself under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law …” (1 Cor. 9:20).  The Lord knows this has been our intended approach.

Nevertheless, I’d like to address your concerns about Benjamin Crème (the British new age guy who was talking about the “Maitreya”) and how we ended the film.  People have commented that the film is an “information overload,” so I can understand that some things might be missed.  I would ask you to watch the ending again, and consider the following details:

In the documentary we allow Benjamin Crème to give his message about a “Christ” figure that is awaited by all religions under different names (Buddha, Krishna, Imam Mahdi, etc.).  Then we ask the question: “But how have Crème’s teachings been received by Christians, who are awaiting the return of Jesus Christ?”  Next, we show Pastor Joe Schimmel, presenting the Christian viewpoint.  He says clearly:

SCHIMMEL: “Jesus Christ’s teaching is very simple.  He says, ‘I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me.’  If we want to try and bring everything together and say we all worship the same God, well then we’re going to find ourselves offending the one true God.”

Right after Schimmel’s above statement, Crème says:

CRÈME: “Some of them (i.e. the Christians) think that what I’m talking about is what they call the Antichrist.”

Considering Pastor Schimmel’s comments combined with Crème’s statement, the presentation of the Christian viewpoint couldn’t be clearer.  Christians reject Crème’s idea about a “universal Christ” that embraces all religions, and they think that Crème is talking about the Antichrist.  This should be nothing short of a flaming red flag for any Christian!

Next, Pastor Schimmel says concerning Crème’s Maitreya:

SCHIMMEL: “… it’s a New Age Christ, it’s not the Jesus Christ of the Bible.  And he comes in a way that the New Age Christ, or the Antichrist is portrayed to come – not the way Jesus Christ is coming.”

Again, the warning to Christians is clearly stated and affirmed.  If you are a Christian, the so-called “Christ” spoken of by Benjamin Crème is not for you, but is the agent of the devil; that person defined in the Bible as Antichrist.  That is the clear message.  Had you listened carefully to the dialogue in our film, you would not have said that we “gave glory to a false Messiah” – as we certainly did not.

We allowed Crème to present his views so that Christians could be informed that deceiving messengers are in the world even now declaring the appearance of an Antichrist.  In truth, Crème is only one of many.  Furthermore, one of Crème’s most disturbing teachings is his Preterist viewpoint – the idea that the prophecies of Revelation have already been fulfilled.  Because the series is intended to continue, we specifically ended Vol. II with a question mark, but not before throwing up another red flag.  We inform the audience that Preterism is “a teaching that many Christians reject,” and then have Joe Schimmel say:

SCHIMMEL: “It’s really a recipe for apostasy, to set up the church for the Antichrist.”

Our intent was to set up a debate to confront Preterist doctrine (which is working hand in hand with Kingdom Dominion theology) to be continued in Volume III.  Nevertheless, I fail to see how any of the comments could be perceived as an endorsement of Crème’s wicked teachings.  Please consider, that just because we treat him objectively (for the sake of an unbelieving audience) does not mean we approve of him or his false Messiah.

Then toward the end, after having showed Freemasonry to be corrupt and dishonest; and after revealing that the “Light” of Masonry is Lucifer (watch the Albert Pike section again), we ask: “Does the world now stand ready to receive the Masonic Christ of the New Age …?” With this, we clearly link together the “Perfected Man” of Masonry with the “Maitreya” of the New Age movement, showing them both to be none other than pre-figures of Antichrist himself.

I hope you will reconsider your view of our film, and learn to recognize the wheat among the tares.  While we do not pretend to be perfect ministers (as the Lord knows we are not), please know that our heart and purpose are toward the Gospel.  If you would, pray for our ministry and that this work will be brought to a fruitful end in Christ Jesus.

God bless,

Chris
