In our opinion, this is one of the most important Christian books of the last century. After the tradition of men like Alexander Hislop and Henry H. Halley, author Dave Hunt chronicles the history of the Roman Catholic Church (RCC). While many works have been written exposing Vatican intrigue and apostasy in the Middle Ages, Hunt also provides historic information about the workings of the RCC in the 20th century.
This is essential, because much of the world has been led to believe that the Roman church has "changed," and has somehow repented of her dark past. Not at all a "conspiracy" book aimed against Catholicism, this work unfolds the real issues between Catholic theology and Biblical Christianity, debating the key doctrines of salvation and eternal life. Hunt shows that much of the reformed doctrines of Rome are really cleverly designed coverings engineered to mask the awful truth.
Also exposed is the Ecumenical Movement, aimed at reuniting Catholic and Protestant Christianity at the expense of the Gospel - along with religious leaders responsible for compromising with Rome .

"Mr. Hunt's book is well researched and excellent in its content. I attended a Catholic all boy's school for 12 years in the 50's. We were told then that it was a mortal sin to eat meat on Fri., have a King James Bible or set foot in a protestant church. We were encouraged to pray to Mary to intercede for us with Jesus Christ. At the back of the missal, Mass Prayer book, there were indulgences in parenthesis (example 300 days) for saying the rosary or certain prayers. I always wondered and still do who in the Vatican decided how many indulgences (days off in Purgatory) you got for saying certain prayers?
Please Catholics read your Bible and do independent research from several sources, such as Mr. Hunt's book, as to the accuracy of Roman Catholic teachings. The truth hurts but its an apostate church. I would have saved myself and my family a lot of grief if I had recognized this 40 years ago."
